Mahesh Bhattarai Appointed as Director of Nepal Bank Limited

Kathmandu — The Government of Nepal has appointed Mr. Mahesh Bhattarai, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, as a new director of Nepal Bank Limited.
According to an official notice issued by the bank, Mr. Bhattarai has assumed his position as a board member and took the oath of office and secrecy on Ashwin 22, 2082 (October 8, 2025) before the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
He replaces Mr. Than Prasad Panjyani, who had been representing the Ministry of Finance on the bank’s board.
The notice, signed by Mr. Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Company Secretary of Nepal Bank Limited, has been formally submitted to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) for record and disclosure purposes.
Nepal Bank Limited, one of the oldest and government-participated commercial banks in Nepal, includes government representatives on its board to ensure coordination and policy alignment with the Ministry of Finance.
