Arun Valley Hydropower Revises Dividend and Calls AGM; Book Closure on Poush 18

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) has revised the dividend proposed from its profit of the last fiscal year and announced its Annual General Meeting (AGM). Earlier, the board meeting held on Ashoj 1 had decided to distribute an 8% bonus share along with 0.421% cash dividend for tax purposes and forwarded the proposal to the Electricity Regulatory Commission for approval. However, after the proposal was not approved by the commission, the board meeting held on Poush 8 revised the decision to distribute a 5% bonus share along with 0.263% cash dividend for tax purposes. To pass the revised proposal, the company has called its 28th AGM on Poush 30. For AGM and dividend distribution purposes, the company has announced a book closure on Poush 18 for one day.
