Finance Minister Khanal’s First Decision: No Implementation of Small, Unprepared Projects

Newly appointed Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal has assumed office and announced his first decision: the government will not implement fragmented or unprepared projects.
Before taking charge, Minister Khanal was welcomed by officials at the Ministry of Finance. During the ceremony, he also requested not to be addressed as “Honorable.”
Minister Khanal stated, “The current priority is to fulfill the demands of the youth and to conduct elections. Therefore, to reduce unnecessary expenditure, the decision has been made not to implement such small and unprepared projects.”
His decision is being viewed as a significant step toward expenditure control and effective resource management in the coming days.
