Gold and Silver Prices Continue to Slide, Sharp Decline for Second Day

Gold and silver prices continued to decline in the Nepali market on Wednesday. The price of gold fell by NPR 1,100 per tola in a single day, trading at NPR 261,000 per tola. On Tuesday, gold was traded at NPR 262,100 per tola, when it had already recorded a sharp drop of NPR 7,900 per tola in one day. This marks the second consecutive day of a significant decline in gold prices.
Similarly, silver prices also decreased by NPR 120 per tola, trading at NPR 4,470 per tola on Wednesday. On Tuesday, silver was traded at NPR 4,590 per tola. According to the नेपाल सुनचाँदी व्यवसायी महासंघ, the downward trend is influenced by international market movements and domestic demand–supply conditions.
