Gold, which had surged by Rs. 5,900 per tola on Thursday, recorded only a modest correction on Friday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold today has been set at Rs. 249,700 per tola, down by Rs. 500 from the previous day’s price of Rs. 250,200. Earlier, on Asoj 31, gold had reached a record-high level of Rs. 258,000 per tola.
Similarly, silver also witnessed a decline in price. The federation fixed today’s price at Rs. 3,285 per tola, which is Rs. 60 lower than Thursday’s price of Rs. 3,345 per tola. Silver too had hit a record price of Rs. 3,350 per tola on Asoj 31.
Market analysts note that the fluctuations in gold and silver prices are driven by instability in the international bullion market, changes in raw material costs, and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
