Gold Price Hits New Record — Reaches Rs. 235,400 Per Tola

Kathmandu — The price of gold in Nepal reached a new record high on Tuesday, continuing its upward momentum. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of hallmark gold has climbed to Rs. 235,400 per tola, the highest ever recorded in the country’s market history.

Compared to Monday, when the price stood at Rs. 233,100 per tola, today’s rate marks an increase of Rs. 2,300 per tola.

The consistent rise in gold prices over the past several weeks reflects the ongoing global surge in gold demand. Dealers said the rally in international markets is directly influencing domestic prices.

Meanwhile, the price of silver remains stable, with one tola of silver still priced at Rs. 2,960, according to the federation.

Experts attribute the rise in global gold prices to factors such as the weakened US dollar, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and investors’ growing shift toward safe-haven assets like gold. These international developments have pushed the metal’s value to new highs, driving similar increases in Nepal’s bullion market.
