Gold Price Rises on Wednesday, Silver Becomes Cheaper

The price of gold has increased in the Nepali market on Wednesday, while the price of silver has declined. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of hallmark gold, which was traded at Rs. 2,48,500 per tola on Tuesday, has risen by Rs. 400 today to reach Rs. 2,48,900 per tola.

Similarly, the price of Tejabi gold has also increased in the same proportion, the federation reported. The rise in domestic gold prices comes amid fluctuations in the international bullion market, reflecting global trends and currency rate movements.

Meanwhile, the price of silver has dropped. Silver declined by Rs. 85 per tola, reaching Rs. 3,240 per tola today.

According to the federation, the contrasting movement — gold prices rising while silver prices falling — is mainly due to instability in the global precious metal market and changes in foreign exchange rates.
