Gold Prices Drop Sharply, Silver Reaches All-Time High in Nepali Market

Nepal’s bullion market witnessed a significant movement today as the price of gold dropped sharply while silver soared to a record high. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of hallmark gold decreased by Rs. 4,200 per tola, settling at Rs. 235,000. On Thursday, gold had reached an all-time high of Rs. 239,200 per tola, continuing a strong bullish streak before today’s correction.
Meanwhile, silver prices continued their upward momentum. Silver rose by Rs. 60 per tola, reaching Rs. 3,085 — the highest in Nepal’s market history. On Thursday, silver was traded at Rs. 3,025 per tola. The contrasting movement of the two precious metals highlights ongoing global and domestic price volatility influenced by international market trends and investor sentiment.
