Nepal Insurance Authority Calls for Proposals on Liquidity Investment Policy

The Nepal Insurance Authority has issued a public notice inviting sealed proposals for drafting the "Liquidity Investment Policy." As per the notice published on 2081/01/29, the authority aims to invest liquidity available in insurance companies into productive sectors. This initiative will involve coordination with various commercial banks and financial institutions.

Interested stakeholders, particularly banks, are requested to submit sealed proposals within 15 days from the date of notice publication. These proposals should focus on determining interest rates, maturity period, and risk parameters regarding the investment of available liquidity from insurance companies.

  • Maximum interest rates that can be secured from liquidity investment

  • Investment maturity period

  • Non-performing assets ratio (NPA)

  • Credit to deposit ratio (C.D. Ratio)

  • Capital adequacy ratio (CAR)
