Kathmandu, October 14 — A total of 2.38 million farmers across Nepal have been registered under the Farmer Listing Program, launched by the government to ensure the effective delivery of subsidies and other agricultural support. The initiative aims to integrate farmers into a digital system to streamline access to state-provided facilities and assistance.
According to the Agriculture Information and Training Center, the government began this program to identify farmers and classify them based on their income levels and production capacity. This digital registration is expected to enhance transparency and improve service delivery within Nepal’s agricultural sector.
