Apple plans to manufacture all iPhones sold in the U.S. in India starting from 2025. The move is part of Apple's strategy to reduce its dependency on China and shift its supply chain towards India. It is estimated that over 60 million iPhones are now produced annually in India. From March 2024 to March 2025, iPhone production in India has already grown by 60%. Apple's partners — Foxconn, Tata, and Pegatron — are expanding their production capacity. India’s lower production costs, government incentives, and growing market potential have strongly attracted Apple. iPhone exports from India are also surging rapidly.
