Kathmandu, May 29 – The budget speech for the fiscal year 2082/83 has officially begun. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is currently presenting the annual budget during a joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament.
The session commenced at 5 PM, where Finance Minister Paudel is outlining the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure, along with the government's policies, programs, and priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.
The budget is expected to focus on social security, infrastructure development, economic growth, education, health, employment generation, and private sector promotion. The session is being attended by lawmakers, ministers, and other dignitaries.
