Kathmandu, May 29 – The Government of Nepal has announced that new company registration and renewal will be free of cost for women entrepreneurs, as part of its effort to promote women-led businesses.
While presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel stated that this provision aims to encourage women’s participation in entrepreneurship and support them in starting and growing their businesses.
According to the government, this move will create a more accessible and supportive business environment for women, helping them gain legal recognition and enter the formal economic system, particularly in micro, small, and cottage industries.
