Decline in Revenue Collection Despite Improvement in Real Estate Transactions in Magh

Despite signs of improvement in real estate transactions across the country, revenue collection saw a decline in Magh. According to the Department of Land Management and Records, a total of NPR 3.87 billion was collected in Magh, which is lower than the NPR 4.25 billion collected in Poush. In comparison, revenue collection in Mangsir stood at NPR 3.87 billion. Over the first seven months of the current fiscal year, total revenue collection reached NPR 24.71 billion, reflecting an approximate 14% increase compared to the same period last year.

During Magh, a total of 46,509 documents were approved, whereas in Poush, the number was 48,156. Among the land revenue offices in the Kathmandu Valley, the Lagankhel office collected the highest revenue at NPR 337.4 million. Similarly, Dillibazar, Kalanki, Chabahil, and Bhaktapur land revenue offices also generated significant revenue collections.
