Finance Minister Khanal Meets World Bank Vice President Jut — Discussions Held on Future Cooperation

Washington D.C., October 14 — Nepal’s Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal held a meeting with Johannes Zutt, Regional Vice President of the World Bank Group, in Washington D.C. on Monday. The meeting focused on ongoing development programs supported by the World Bank in Nepal, as well as potential areas of future cooperation and partnership, according to the Embassy of Nepal in Washington.
During the discussions, both sides reviewed the progress of World Bank–funded projects and exchanged views on Nepal’s economic reforms, investment climate, infrastructure development, and social sector initiatives. The World Bank expressed continued commitment to supporting Nepal’s sustainable economic growth and development priorities.
The meeting was attended by Nepal’s Ambassador to the United States Lok Darshan Regmi, senior embassy officials, members of Minister Khanal’s delegation, and World Bank representatives involved in various Nepal projects.
Finance Minister Khanal arrived in Washington D.C. on Sunday to attend the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
