Kathmandu – The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the latest foreign exchange rates for May 20, 2025, reflecting slight fluctuations across several major global currencies. These rates, updated daily, are used by banks and financial institutions across the country to determine currency conversion values for trade, remittance, and travel purposes.
As per today’s update, the buying rate of the US Dollar (USD) stands at NPR 136.35, while the selling rate is set at NPR 136.95. The Euro (EUR), another widely traded currency, is being bought at NPR 153.65 and sold at NPR 154.32. In the Asian market segment, the Singapore Dollar (SGD) is listed at a buying rate of NPR 105.36 and a selling rate of NPR 105.82. Meanwhile, the Japanese Yen (JPY) remains relatively low in value compared to other currencies, trading at NPR 9.41 for buying and NPR 9.45 for selling, based on a unit conversion of 100 yen.
