Fuel Prices Drop : Petrol Down by Rs. 2 per Liter

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petroleum products, effective from Wednesday night.

As per the new rates, petrol has become cheaper by Rs. 2 per liter, diesel and kerosene by Rs. 1 per liter, and domestic aviation fuel by Rs. 4 per liter. The price of international aviation fuel (from Kathmandu) has been reduced by USD 29 per kiloliter. However, for Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports, the international aviation fuel price has been kept at the break-even point, according to the corporation.

The retail price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for cooking remains unchanged.

The decision follows a drop in the purchase rates from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). NOC stated that the purchase price per liter had decreased by Rs. 2.16 for petrol, Rs. 1.30 for diesel, Rs. 4.33 for aviation fuel, and Rs. 15.70 per LPG cylinder.

This adjustment is expected to offer some financial relief to consumers amid ongoing economic pressures.
