Gold Price Hits Record High, Reaches Rs 174,500 Per Tola

The price of gold in the Nepali market has soared to an all-time high. Today, the price of gold surged by Rs 4,000 per tola, reaching Rs 174,500, while silver settled at Rs 2,050 per tola. On Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 170,500 per tola in the local market.

Dharma Sundar Bajracharya, First Vice President of the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders' Federation, attributed the price hike to external factors. The rise in the US dollar value and international political developments have driven the price up. With gold trading at around 2,982 per ounce in the global market, the local market has adjusted to reflect this unprecedented high.
