National Assembly Meeting Today: Key Budget Bills and Ministerial Responses on the Agenda

The National Assembly is scheduled to convene today at 11:15 AM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, today’s agenda includes ministerial responses to questions raised during discussions on the Appropriation Bill, 2082.
The responses will address issues related to several government entities, including the Office of the President, the Office of the Vice President, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the National Planning Commission Secretariat, and various ministries.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will present a proposal for the National Assembly to pass the Appropriation Bill, 2082, which was forwarded with a message from the House of Representatives. He will also propose consideration of the "Finance Bill, 2082" and the "Public Debt Collection Bill, 2082."
In addition, Minister Paudel is scheduled to table a proposal to pass the "Customs Bill, 2080," which has also been received with a message from the lower house.
Meanwhile, National Assembly Secretary Surendra Aryal will table the "Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080" as received from the House of Representatives.
Today’s meeting is expected to move forward the legal procedures necessary for implementing the national budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
