NMB Laghubitta Earns Over NPR 72.5 Million Profit, EPS at 4.64, Net Interest Income Up by 53.82%

NMB Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has published its unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82 (up to Ashad 32). According to the report, the company has earned a net profit of NPR 72.5 million during the review period. In comparison, the company had incurred a net loss of NPR 57.29 million during the same period last fiscal year, marking a significant turnaround in profitability.
The company earned NPR 976.5 million in interest income and incurred NPR 377.7 million in interest expenses, resulting in a net interest income of NPR 598.8 million — a 53.82% increase compared to the previous year. It also earned NPR 28 million from fee and commission income and NPR 53 million from other operating income.
The operating profit for the period stood at NPR 149.2 million, while profit after tax reached NPR 72.5 million. The annualized Earnings Per Share (EPS) is reported at Rs. 4.64. The Net Worth Per Share is Rs. 140.61 and the actual EPS is Rs. 6.44.
The company’s total assets have reached NPR 7.15 billion, while total liabilities stand at NPR 6.14 billion. The Capital Fund to RWA ratio is 22.21%, Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio is 0.45%, and the base rate is 15.00%. Other key indicators, including the credit-to-deposit ratio and interest rate spread, also reflect a stable financial position.
Regarding profit appropriation, the company has allocated NPR 14.36 million to the general reserve and NPR 27.68 million to the capital redemption reserve. Additional allocations have been made for CSR, disaster relief, employee funds, and other reserves. The remaining distributable profit stands at NPR 47.57 million.
The report has been prepared in accordance with Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS). The strong financial indicators and positive earnings growth suggest improving investor confidence and overall operational efficiency.
