NPR 57.48 Billion Allocated to Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development

Kathmandu, May 29 – The Government of Nepal has allocated NPR 57.48 billion to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.
The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel while presenting the annual budget during the joint session of the Federal Parliament.
Finance Minister Paudel is currently reading the budget speech in Parliament. The allocated budget aims to promote productive farming, ensure food security, and modernize livestock-based enterprises.
The government also indicated that special programs will be launched in the coming year to strengthen self-reliant agriculture systems and revitalize rural economies across the country.
