The main agenda of the discussion is said to be reaching a consensus on the appointment of the new Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. With ongoing negotiations between UML and the Congress, this meeting is being viewed as highly significant in finalizing the candidate for the central bank’s leadership.
Meanwhile, the regular Monday Cabinet meeting has been postponed. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, today's meeting will not be held.
