Prem Hari Mainali Elected Unopposed as President of Nepal Distributors Association

The 24th General Assembly of the Nepal Distributors Association has elected Prem Hari Mainali unopposed as its new president. The assembly, held on Saturday, unanimously endorsed a new executive committee under Mainali’s leadership.
Navaraj Dahal has been elected as Senior Vice President, Keshav Prasad Mainali as Vice President, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina as General Secretary, Ashok Kumar Kandel as Secretary, Dinesh Mani Risal as Treasurer, and Ramesh Prajapati as Joint Treasurer.
Similarly, Binod Adhikari, Bhoj Prasad Phuyal (Umesh), Dipak Ghimire, Kapil Regmi, Nilkantha Dhakal, Ram Prasad Dhakal, Phanindra Khadka (Bikas), Rukesh Maharjan, Kiran Karki, Bhuvan Shrestha, Prabin Kumar Karmacharya, Santosh Poudel, Subodh Jha, Ganesh Karki, and Jayaram Labju were elected as executive committee members. Outgoing president Ram Hari Ghimire will remain as an ex-officio member.
The general assembly was held under the chairmanship of outgoing president Ram Hari Ghimire, with Santosh Chalise, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Finance Committee, as the chief guest.
Mainali’s Commitment
Newly elected president Prem Hari Mainali expressed gratitude to all members for unanimously entrusting him with the leadership. He pledged to actively work for the rights and interests of the distribution business, prioritizing solutions to traffic, credit, and other policy-related challenges.
Highlighting the significance of distributors in channeling both imported and domestically produced consumer goods to the market, Mainali stated: “The distribution business has made a positive contribution in keeping Nepal’s economy vibrant. It is necessary for the state to also give due priority to this sector.”
