Sales Up 12.79%, Ghorahi Cement Cuts Loss by More Than Half

Ghorahi Cement Industry Limited (GCIL) has published its unaudited financial statement for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year. According to the report, the company’s net loss has significantly decreased compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. The company, which had reported a loss of NPR 1.44 billion in the previous year, recorded a reduced loss of NPR 660 million in the last fiscal year. The decrease in loss was driven by an increase in sales revenue.
During the review period, the company’s sales revenue rose by 12.79% to NPR 5.05 billion, while gross profit surged by 232.54%. However, financial expenses increased by 17.10% to NPR 890 million.
With a paid-up capital of NPR 4.56 billion, the company has accumulated reserves of NPR 4.04 billion. As of the end of Ashad, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at negative NPR 14.46, while net worth per share was NPR 188.47.
