Sanima Bank Profit Up, Mixed Performance in Key Financial Indicators

Sanima Bank Limited has published its unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82, showing an increase in profit. The bank recorded a net profit of NPR 2.57 billion, up by 7.25% compared to the same period last year. Net interest income stood at NPR 6.35 billion, marking a 2.82% rise, while operating profit increased by 2.97% to NPR 3.57 billion. However, impairment charges rose to NPR 1.88 billion, limiting further profit growth.
The bank’s non-performing loan (NPL) ratio increased by 1.51 percentage points to 3.01%. Earnings per share (EPS) reached NPR 18.93, net worth per share stood at NPR 168.83, and the price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 19.80. By the end of Ashar, the bank had collected deposits worth NPR 223.95 billion and disbursed loans totaling NPR 176.44 billion. Paid-up capital stood at NPR 13.58 billion, retained earnings at NPR 2.78 billion, and reserve funds at NPR 6.56 billion.
