Singati Hydro's Profit: Electricity Sales Revenue Increased Eightfold

Singati Hydro Energy Limited has reported a significant turnaround in its financial performance for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2081/82. The company posted a net profit of NPR 149.9 million by the end of Ashad, a remarkable improvement compared to a net loss of NPR 69.2 million during the same period last year. This dramatic shift from loss to profit signals strong operational and financial management.

The primary driver behind this growth is the sharp rise in electricity sales revenue after the project came into full operation. Revenue from electricity sales surged to NPR 687.1 million this fiscal year, up from just NPR 83 million in the previous year. Despite paying NPR 267.3 million in interest expenses, the company still managed to achieve positive earnings.

Furthermore, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) reached NPR 5.17, and the net worth per share stood at NPR 109.53. These strong financial indicators suggest that Singati Hydro is now in a solid position and could be an attractive option for investors going forward.
