TAMOR Reports NPR 4.53M Profit in Q4 FY 2080/81; Electricity Sales at NPR 354.14M, Share Closes at NPR 450

Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower Limited (TAMOR) has reported a net profit of NPR 4.53 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2080/81, marking a turnaround from a loss of NPR 29.55 million in the previous quarter and NPR 29.26 million in the same period last year. The improvement follows the company’s successful start of commercial electricity generation from Baishakh 23, 2081, after completing all NEA-required tests under its Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
During the review period, TAMOR generated NPR 354.14 million from electricity sales, alongside construction revenue of NPR 2.95 billion. Gross profit stood at NPR 305.90 million, while administrative and operating expenses amounted to NPR 127.58 million — with a large portion attributed to intangible asset amortization. Financial costs totaled NPR 175.20 million, offset slightly by NPR 3.96 million in financial income and NPR 5.08 million in other income.
The company’s total assets reached NPR 13.74 billion, up from NPR 13.29 billion in the previous quarter. Long-term loans increased to NPR 9.22 billion, while retained earnings improved to a negative balance of NPR 70.58 million from NPR 104.67 million previously.
Key performance indicators showed an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of NPR 0.14, a Current Ratio of 6.32, and a Net Worth Per Share of NPR 97.91. The company’s share closed at NPR 450.00 during the quarter, up from NPR 384.30 in the last quarter. Total trading volume stood at 2.21 million shares with a turnover of NPR 897.59 million.
Management identified challenges such as skilled workforce shortages, equipment availability, and external risks including regulatory delays, currency depreciation, and natural disasters. Strategies moving forward include operational efficiency improvements, effective fund management, adequate insurance coverage, and lobbying for an investment-friendly environment.
