UMRH: Net Profit Falls to Rs. 26M, EPS at 5.70, Dividend Rs. 4.21

United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Limited (UMRH) has published its audited fourth-quarter results for FY 2024/25, showing mixed financial performance. The company’s total revenue for the quarter stood at Rs. 159.85 million, slightly up from Rs. 136.19 million in the previous quarter but lower compared to Rs. 157.05 million in the same period last year, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 20.36%.

Gross profit for Q4 reached Rs. 142.62 million, maintaining a strong margin of 89.22%. However, despite stable profitability in operations, the net income dipped sharply to Rs. 26.26 million from Rs. 46.95 million in Q3. This decline also pushed the net income margin down to 16.43% compared to 34.47% in the previous quarter.

The company’s annualized Earnings Per Share (EPS) dropped to Rs. 5.70 from Rs. 14.13 in Q3, highlighting weaker returns for shareholders. Similarly, Return on Equity (ROE) fell to 5.33%, while Return on Assets (ROA) stood at 1.91%. The reported Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio surged to 107.31, indicating relatively high valuation compared to earnings.

UMRH’s book value per share declined to Rs. 105.96 from Rs. 114.86 in Q3, while the market value per share increased to Rs. 611.69, reflecting continued investor confidence despite weaker earnings. The company has also announced a dividend of Rs. 4.21 per share, rewarding its shareholders.
