Apply Hong Kong Visit Visa Online from Nepal – Documents, Fees & Processing Time

Nepali citizens who are not eligible for visa-free entry into the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) must apply for a Visit Visa or Entry Permit before travel. The Immigration Department of Hong Kong provides an official online application service for both visit and transit categories, enabling applicants from Nepal to complete and upload all required information electronically. (This service is not valid for visa extensions.)

An application is normally approved if the applicant’s identity and purpose of visit are genuine, they possess adequate financial resources for their stay, and in the case of a transit visa, they hold a confirmed onward ticket. Though optional, nominating a local sponsor—an individual or company residing in Hong Kong—can strengthen the application and help the Immigration Department verify details quickly.

Applicants must submit a scanned copy of their passport, a recent passport-size photo, bank statement or income proof, hotel booking or invitation letter, a travel itinerary, and a completed application form (ID 1003A). If a local sponsor is involved, they must complete form ID 1003B. All uploaded files should be in JPEG, PDF, GIF, PNG, or TIF format and each under 5 MB.

Once the application is submitted online, an acknowledgement email is typically received within seven working days. The average processing time is about four weeks, counting from the day all necessary documents are received. If no response is received within ten working days, applicants may contact the Immigration Department at (+852) 2824 6111 or [email protected].

After approval, the applicant receives a payment link. Visa fees (around HK$230 – HK$250 depending on type) can be paid via GovHK, FPS, PPS, or credit card. Immediately after successful payment, the applicant may download or print the e-Visa on A4 paper. Upon arrival in Hong Kong, travelers must present both their valid passport and e-Visa (digital or printed) for QR code scanning at the immigration counter.

Applications can also be submitted by post or through the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate, but online submission is faster and easier for applicants from Nepal.

Processing Summary & Fees

• Average processing time: 4 weeks
• Acknowledgement notice: within 7 working days
• Visa fee: HK$230 – 250 (per entry, subject to change)
• Payment methods: GovHK, FPS, PPS, Credit Card

ABC Securities Investor Pro Meet 2082 Concludes Successfully in Birgunj The ABC Securities Investor Pro Meet 2082, organized under the financial literacy campaign of ABC Securities, was successfully held in Birgunj with strong participation from investors, market experts, and business leaders. The one-day program included share market training, panel discussions, and interactive sessions aimed at improving investors’ understanding of Nepal’s capital market. According to the organizers, the main objective of the event was to strengthen investors’ knowledge, skills, and confidence so that they can make informed and responsible investment decisions. The program reflected the growing demand for structured and practical market education among Nepalese investors. In recent years, participation in the stock market has increased rapidly, especially among young and first-time investors. However, many of them still lack proper understanding of market risks, technical analysis, and long-term investment planning. By organizing such events, ABC Securities is attempting to bridge this knowledge gap and promote disciplined investment behavior.
