Thailand’s official e-Visa system, operated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, allows Nepali citizens to apply online for a tourist, business, medical, or transit visa without visiting the Embassy in person. The entire process is completed through the official portal www.thaievisa.go.th, offering a fast, secure, and paperless experience for travelers.

Step-by-Step Process:
Create an Account: Visit the website and click “Create an Account.” Enter your name, nationality (Nepal), contact number, and email address. Set a secure password with at least 8 characters (including uppercase, lowercase, and numbers). A verification link will be sent to your email—click it to activate your account.

Sign In and Dashboard: After activation, log in to your account and open your Dashboard. You can manage new, ongoing, or completed visa applications here.

New Visa Application: Click “Apply for a New Visa.” Fill in your passport details, choose the purpose of your visit (tourism, business, etc.), upload your passport biodata page, and a recent passport-sized photograph.

Travel Information: Provide your planned travel dates, flight information, and accommodation details in Thailand.

Supporting Documents: Upload essential documents such as your passport, recent photograph, confirmed hotel booking, flight ticket, and bank statement for financial proof.

Payment: Pay the visa fee securely online. If multiple applications are being made to the same embassy, all can be paid together. Please note that visa fees are non-refundable.

Application Tracking: Go to “Check Status” to track your visa progress and download the e-Visa approval letter once it’s ready.

This behavior clearly signals a deeper lack of confidence in credit expansion prospects, even after regulatory easing measures. The data reveals a striking liquidity imbalance within the banking system. Although deposits have continued to grow steadily, credit demand has not kept pace. As a result, more than NPR 838 billion (8.38 trillion rupees) has accumulated at Nepal Rastra Bank in various forms, including deposit collection instruments, standing deposit facilities, and central bank bonds. This reflects the inability—or unwillingness—of banks to deploy funds into productive sectors of the economy.
