Pure Energy Limited Q4 Results: Strong Revenue Growth, Net Profit Turns Upward

Pure Energy Limited (PURE) has published its audited financial results for the fourth quarter of FY 2024/25, reporting strong revenue expansion and a significant turnaround in profitability compared to earlier in the year.
The company posted a total revenue of Rs. 259.26 million in Q4, up substantially from Rs. 187.94 million in Q3. While no year-on-year comparison was provided, the sequential jump highlights PURE’s increasing generation capacity and improved electricity sales during the quarter.
The gross profit stood at Rs. 245.10 million, maintaining an exceptionally high gross margin of 94.54%, slightly in line with Q3’s 94.71%. This demonstrates the company’s strong cost efficiency and operational control, consistent with its hydropower business model.
On the earnings front, net income surged to Rs. 31.98 million in Q4, up sharply from just Rs. 7.23 million in Q3. As a result, the net profit margin expanded to 12.33%, compared to 3.85% in the prior quarter. This marks PURE’s strongest quarterly profitability of the fiscal year.
On a per-share basis, EPS (annualized) improved significantly to Rs. 4.00, compared to Rs. 1.42 in Q3, reflecting stronger earnings capacity. The reported PE ratio stood at 218.07, indicating that while earnings are improving, the stock continues to trade at a very high valuation multiple relative to profitability.
From a balance sheet perspective, the book value per share was recorded at Rs. 100.48, while the market value per share soared to Rs. 871.71, more than 8.5 times book value. This highlights strong investor sentiment and premium pricing of PURE shares in the market.
Dividend per share has not yet been declared for FY 2024/25, though rising profitability could put PURE in a better position to consider shareholder payouts in the coming periods.
