Nepal Rastra Bank to Auction 25 Billion Rupees for Market Liquidity Management

Nepal Rastra Bank is set to withdraw 25 billion rupees from the banking system on Sunday due to excess liquidity in the market. The 21-day auction will take place today at 3 PM, with bids starting from a minimum of 10 crore rupees up to the total called amount in multiples of 5 crore. Principal and interest payments are scheduled for March 24, with the interest rate to be determined through the auction. Only 'A', 'B', and 'C' class banks and financial institutions licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank can participate.
