Banking Services Resume Nationwide After Gen Z Unrest, Governor Holds Talks with Bankers and Business Leaders

Kathmandu – Banking services across Nepal have fully resumed from Sunday after being disrupted due to the Gen Z movement. According to the Nepal Bankers’ Association, all banks and financial institutions have reopened their offices, while damaged branch offices and ATMs are being prepared for operation soon.

Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Paudel held separate discussions with bankers, private sector entrepreneurs, and industrialists regarding the economic impacts of the recent unrest. During the talks, business representatives demanded special relief packages to address the heavy losses they suffered.

Governor Paudel also held exclusive discussions with bankers on how to design suitable packages and facilities to support affected businesses and help them recover.
