Due to increasing fluctuations in the international market, a steady rise in global gold prices, and changing demand dynamics, the domestic gold market in Nepal continues to trend upward.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has reached Rs. 252,200 per tola today.
Similarly, silver prices have also increased, reaching Rs. 3,490 per tola.
On Friday, the price of fine gold stood at Rs. 250,600 per tola, while silver was traded at Rs. 3,345 per tola.
The latest price hike reflects sustained upward pressure in both gold and silver markets.
As per international media reports, gold is currently trading at USD 4,175 per ounce, while silver is trading at USD 54 per ounce in the global market.
Experts say that this surge in global prices has directly influenced the Nepali market, resulting in rising costs for consumers and increased pressure on the jewelry business.
