On Sunday, August 17, the Nepali market witnessed a decline in gold and silver prices. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, hallmark gold dropped by Rs. 700 per tola, trading at Rs. 195,500. Compared to Friday’s price of Rs. 196,200 per tola, the decline highlights a continuous downward trend in gold prices in recent days, raising market uncertainty.
Silver prices also fell slightly. On Sunday, silver traded at Rs. 2,310 per tola, which is Rs. 5 lower than Friday’s price of Rs. 2,315. The simultaneous drop in both gold and silver prices is expected to impact investors as well as consumers in the market.
