Gold Price Breaks Record in Nepal, Nears Rs. 200,000 Per Tola

August 08, 2025,  Friday,  gold prices in the Nepali market surged to a historic high, breaking previous records. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold rose by Rs. 1,000 per tola, reaching Rs. 199,400 — the highest rate ever recorded in the country.

Just a day before, on Thursday, gold was traded at Rs. 198,400 per tola. That price had matched the previous all-time high set on Wednesday. The market remained stable on Thursday but broke through the record on Friday with the latest increase.

Meanwhile, silver prices also rose slightly. The price of silver increased by Rs. 10 per tola and is being traded at Rs. 2,325, compared to Rs. 2,315 on Thursday.
