Historic Increase in Gold Prices on the Occasion of Dhanteras, Silver Prices Also Rise

Kathmandu. On the occasion of Dhanteras, gold prices have reached a new peak. The price of gold has increased by NPR 1,500 per tola, reaching an all-time high. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, today, the price of fine gold is NPR 168,500 per tola, marking the highest rate recorded so far. On Monday, fine gold was traded at NPR 167,000 per tola, while on Sunday, it was traded at NPR 167,400 per tola.

Business experts suggest that the demand for gold and silver is traditionally high on Dhanteras, leading to this price surge.

Silver prices have also seen an increase of NPR 40, reaching NPR 2,105 per tola. On Monday, silver was traded at NPR 2,065 per tola. The occasion of Dhanteras has resulted in a noticeable increase in buyers, as purchasing gold and silver is a common tradition.
