Interim Finance Minister Khanal Declines All Facilities

Kathmandu – Ramshwor Khanal, who has been appointed as the Finance Minister in the interim government, has announced that he will not accept any perks or facilities that come with the position, including salary, ministerial residence, or government vehicle.

Even before taking the oath of office, Khanal made it clear that he would not take any benefits attached to the role. He also stated that he would not use a personal security officer (PSO).

Khanal is a former Finance Secretary, widely regarded as an expert in identifying weaknesses in the economy, understanding the causes of problems, and proposing both immediate and long-term solutions. Because of his expertise and clean image, he is considered a suitable figure to take charge in the current challenging situation.

His decision has been interpreted in political and economic circles as a message of integrity and simplicity in leadership. Many believe it will help foster a more positive public perception of politics and strengthen public trust in governance.
