Last Day to Secure Dividends of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank and Universal Power Company

Kathmandu – Today (Ashoj 8) is the final day for investors to secure dividends of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited and Universal Power Company Limited. Both companies are closing their books for one day for the purpose of their upcoming Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and dividend distributions.
Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank
Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has proposed a 10% bonus share and 5.7895% cash dividend (for tax purposes) on its current paid-up capital. To endorse these proposals, the bank has scheduled its 19th Annual General Meeting on Ashoj 24 (Friday) at Lisara Reception, Bhagwati Bahal, Naxal, Kathmandu, starting from 11 AM.
Apart from the dividend proposal, the AGM will also discuss and approve:
Amendments to the bank’s Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association,
Election of six board members (three from promoters and three from public shareholders),
Appointment of auditors, and
Granting authority to the board for necessary actions.
Universal Power Company
Universal Power Company has proposed a 9% bonus share and 0.4737% cash dividend (for tax purposes). The company has called its AGM on Ashoj 23 (Thursday) at Durbar Restro Hotel & Party Venue, Tikhedewal, Lalitpur, starting from 10 AM.
The AGM will also:
Approve issuance of a 100% rights share after the bonus distribution,
Authorize amendments to the Articles and Memorandum of Association,
Approve appointment of auditors,
Ratify the appointment of an independent director, and
Conduct the election of two board members.
Investors must hold shares of these companies within today (Ashoj 8) to be eligible for the proposed dividends and AGM participation.
