Mai Khola Hydropower Limited has announced plans to issue rights shares in a 1:1 ratio to its existing shareholders. This means shareholders will be eligible to receive one additional share for every share they currently hold.
The company has formally submitted an application to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) seeking approval to issue a total of 3,921,568 rights shares, according to the issue manager, Prabhu Capital.
Upon successful issuance of the rights shares, the company’s paid-up capital will increase to NPR 784.3 million. The move is expected to strengthen the company’s capital base and support its future project expansions.
Mai Khola Hydropower is currently awaiting regulatory approval. Once SEBON grants the approval, the company will announce the detailed issuance schedule and application procedures.
