Merchant Banking Association Nepal Concludes 16th Annual General Meeting

Kathmandu. The Merchant Banking Association Nepal successfully concluded its 16th Annual General Meeting in Kathmandu. The event was originally scheduled to be held in Pokhara, but considering the current national circumstances and to ensure the safety and participation of all members, it was relocated to the capital.
The assembly witnessed the participation of representatives from all merchant banking institutions across the country. During the meeting, the Association reviewed the activities and achievements of the fiscal year 2081/82 and approved the annual program and budget for the fiscal year 2082/83.
Reaffirming its commitment, the Association emphasized its dedication to promoting professionalism, sustainable growth, and strengthening the role of merchant banks in Nepal’s capital market.
The meeting also held extensive discussions on current issues, challenges, and future strategic plans for Nepal’s merchant banking sector. In addition, the assembly approved necessary amendments, including changes to the Association’s name and other regulatory provisions.
Furthermore, the gathering discussed policy-level reforms aimed at enhancing the contribution and effectiveness of merchant banks in the capital market.
