Ministry of Home Affairs Clears Over Two Billion Rupees in Outstanding Accounts

The Ministry of Home Affairs has cleared a total of NPR 212.63 million in outstanding accounts for the fiscal year 2081/082. This marks significant progress compared to the previous year, where NPR 3.72 billion was still pending.

According to Khadananda Adhikari, the head of the Financial Administration Branch at the Ministry, this achievement was made possible through the coordination of the Home Minister Ramesh Lekh, the Ministry Secretary, and the active involvement of various subordinate agencies.

The Ministry reported a 63.17% progress in clearing outstanding accounts during the last fiscal year. Currently, NPR 1.47 billion remains as outstanding for the ongoing fiscal year.

Adhikari stated that, based on audit figures, the outstanding accounts have reduced to 0.09% for fiscal year 2081/082. The Ministry is focused on further reducing these accounts by implementing a detailed action plan.
