Nepal Life’s Net Premium Income Rises Nearly 19%, Profit Surpasses NPR 603 Million

Nepal Life Insurance Limited (NLIC) has published its unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter of FY 2081/82. According to the report, the company’s net premium income increased by 18.84%, rising from NPR 40.11 billion in the previous fiscal year to NPR 47.66 billion in the review period. Total income during the same period grew by 15.43%. Along with revenue growth, the company’s net profit rose by NPR 17.37 million, reaching NPR 603.2 million. Earnings per share (EPS) increased by NPR 0.42 to NPR 6.68, while the price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio stood at 115.68 times. The net worth per share reached NPR 136.75. With a paid-up capital of NPR 9.02 billion, the company holds NPR 1.32 billion in its catastrophe fund, NPR 1.24 billion in retained earnings, and NPR 754.4 million in other equity reserves.
