Nepal Police Collects Over NPR 403 Million in Revenue in One Month — Court Fees and Traffic Fines Top the List

Nepal Police collected more than NPR 403.8 million in public revenue during the month of Baisakh, FY 2081/82. This significant contribution came from various administrative and enforcement-related charges under police jurisdiction.
The highest share of the revenue came from court fee settlements, totaling NPR 116.8 million, which accounts for 28.91% of the total collection. The second largest source was traffic violation fines, which brought in NPR 94.3 million, comprising 23.33% of the total revenue.
Nepal Police also generated revenue from a wide array of smaller categories, including:
Road Standard Violations (Monthly) – NPR 33.2 million
Other General Fees – NPR 48.0 million
Vehicle Inspection Fees – NPR 21.2 million
Citizen Service Charges – NPR 31.8 million
Miscellaneous Transport Charges – NPR 18.2 million
Card Processing Fees, Animal-Related Taxes, and Others – several millions
