SEBON Gathers Stakeholder Input for FY 2082/83 Capital Market Policy Draft

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has concluded a consultation and suggestion collection program with stakeholders for the formulation of policies and programs related to the securities and commodity exchange markets for the fiscal year 2082/83. Addressing the program, SEBON Chairman Mr. Santosh Narayan Shrestha emphasized the need for active participation and consensus among all stakeholders—regulatory bodies, investors, market participants, and listed institutions—stating that the capital market is a shared system. He further highlighted that the board's goal is to develop and expand the market in a balanced manner, ensuring transparency and trust in the overall capital market system.
Suggestions from representatives of NEPSE, CDS, stockbroker associations, investor groups, financial journalist bodies, and other relevant stakeholders were gathered during the session. These inputs will be carefully considered in the drafting of SEBON’s policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year.
