Significant Drop in Gold Price, Silver Remains Unchanged

The price of gold in the Nepali market has dropped by NPR 700 per tola today. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the trading price of hallmark gold now stands at NPR 191,100 per tola.

Just yesterday, the price was NPR 191,800 per tola, while on Friday it was NPR 190,400 per tola.

On Baisakh 9 (April 21), the price of gold had reached a record high of NPR 197,900 per tola, the highest ever in Nepal’s history.

Meanwhile, the price of silver remains stable, continuing at NPR 2,005 per tola today—the same rate as yesterday.

Market analysts attribute the fluctuation in gold prices to changes in the international market, currency exchange rates, and local supply-demand dynamics. The trend suggests further volatility in the coming days.
