Stalled SEBON Activities to Resume

The stalled activities of the Nepal Securities Board are set to resume. During the annual celebration on Friday, Board Chairman Narendra Kumar Rana announced this development. "The activities that were halted since January will now move forward. We are currently studying the necessary steps. The first meeting has already taken place, and the upcoming meeting is expected to provide some solutions," said Chairman Rana.

Rana represents the Ministry of Finance. However, he has not been assigned to any specific department within the ministry and is currently placed in the ministry’s pool.

Chairman Rana mentioned efforts to secure government land for the Securities Board building. Additionally, they are studying how to implement the directives given by the Accounts Committee. He emphasized the need to discuss and address the instructions from other agencies as well.

Rana urged the immediate appointment of a chairman for the Nepal Securities Board. The Securities Board organized an annual celebration at a hotel in Ravi Bhavan, Kathmandu on Friday. Finance Minister Barshaman Pun was invited as the chief guest, but in his absence, Revenue Secretary Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire fulfilled the role of the chief guest.
