Super Mai Hydropower Limited Q4 Performance: Steady Margins Despite Slight Revenue Dip

Super Mai Hydropower Limited (SMH) has published its audited financial results for the fourth quarter of FY 2024/25, showing resilience in profitability despite a marginal decline in revenue compared to the same period last year.

The company reported total revenue of Rs. 198.69 million in Q4, a slight 0.15% drop YoY from Rs. 219.61 million in Q4 2023/24. On a sequential basis, revenue improved strongly from Q3’s Rs. 150.28 million, highlighting operational recovery. Gross profit stood at Rs. 177.10 million, with an impressive gross margin of 89.13%, maintaining stability across quarters.

Net income for Q4 reached Rs. 70.37 million, closely matching last year’s Rs. 70.51 million, but significantly higher than Q3’s Rs. 46.73 million. Net margin stood at 35.42%, a considerable improvement from the previous quarter’s 31.10%.

Return on assets (ROA) stood at 5.10%, while return on equity (ROE) was 10.91%, both reflecting sustainable profitability levels. Annualized EPS was reported at Rs. 13.15, compared to Rs. 14.10 in the same period last year. However, the company’s price-to-earnings (PE) ratio surged to 66.22, suggesting elevated valuations amid investor expectations.

Book value per share stood at Rs. 124.17, while the market price per share was reported at Rs. 871.07. Additionally, the company announced a dividend per share of Rs. 12.63, rewarding its shareholders.

Overall, while revenue showed a slight contraction, profit margins, earnings stability, and consistent dividend payout underline SMH’s financial strength and investor confidence.
