Training Held to Strengthen Capital Market Through Technology and Governance

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), in collaboration with the Stock Broker Association of Nepal, recently conducted a one-day training program focused on strengthening Nepal’s capital market through technology, good governance, and regulatory compliance.
The event saw participation from CEOs and IT heads of licensed brokerage and dealer firms. Key discussions centered on enhancing market transparency, security, and operational efficiency.
Speaking at the program, SEBON Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha emphasized the need for continuous regulatory strengthening and capacity-building initiatives. NEPSE CEO Chudamani Chaulagain highlighted that the event was designed to address the most pressing needs of the market, including digital transformation and investor protection.
Leaders from Nepal Rastra Bank, CDS & Clearing Ltd., and NEPSE delivered technical presentations on settlement systems, legal frameworks, and trading infrastructure. The session was viewed as a collaborative step forward in reforming and modernizing Nepal’s capital market ecosystem.
