Udayapur Cement Industry, which had been struggling with a financial crisis, has resumed operations. Production restarted after clearing outstanding payments and reorganizing the workforce. Acting General Manager Mahesh Sah informed that on the first day, 4,000 sacks of cement and clinker were produced. The industry currently has coal and diesel stock sufficient for 12 days. Due to financial shortages, there were issues in paying for coal, and the Lalitpur Court ordered a payment of NPR 9.92 crores. The government had provided a grant of NPR 16 crores last Chaitra (March-April) to support the industry, which had been operating at a loss for the past three years.
